Danbury has everything to lose and almost nothing to gain from the proposed Spectra/Alquonquin pipeline project that would involve disruptive and damaging construction from the New York border to Clapboard Ridge Road.

For this reason, the city of Danbury and the Boughton administration need to engage Spectra and the state’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) on the issue — regardless of what level the final decision on the project is made.
