On Monday morning, Gov. Andrew Cuomo called for work on the Algonquin Pipeline to be halted due to its proximity to Indian Point, pending a safety risk analysis by multiple state agencies. On Monday afternoon, a spokesperson for Spectra Energy, the pipeline’s owner, told The Peekskill Post that “Algonquin pipeline will continue with its construction in accordance with its permits and approvals.”
