New York (February 29, 2016, 3:01 PM ET) — New York Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Monday urged the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to block construction of a $971 million gas pipeline project running through New York to New England, saying that his state needs to evaluate the project’s safety risks, especially around the Indian Point nuclear plant.
